June celebration marks 35th Anniversary for Foundation
A proud history of supporting artists in greater Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire
To celebrate 35 years of supporting artists, grassroots collectives and arts organisations, St Hugh’s Foundation for the Arts presents a cross-disciplinary exhibition showcasing over three decades of award recipients.
Hosted at Fountain Arts in Scunthorpe, a 2025 award winner, the exhibition brings together work spanning visual art, dance, music, film, photography, live performance and craft. It includes archival material from the Foundation’s first award winner in 1992, Rupert Creed, alongside film and interactive work by trailblazing Midlands artist Annabel McCourt
Audiences are invited to encounter artist processes through excerpts of works-in-progress, offering insight into the ideas, experimentation and development behind each practice.
Join us for the opening night on Friday 5 June (6–8pm), launching the exhibition with Taiko drumming and dance performances. The exhibition runs until Saturday 27 June, closing with a special event featuring a performative lecture by Harriet Plewis, an artist panel and a film screening (2–4pm).
Fountain Arts is open Thursday to Saturday each week, from 10am to 4pm. For visitor information: www.fountainarts.org
